A few days ago I took a picture that I wanted to post on the socials and realized that I looked obviously pregnant in it. "This could cause quite a stir," I thought, considering I'd never announced it and was now seven months pregnant. Unfortunately, I have a pregnancy phobia and part of that includes my struggle to announce that I'm pregnant at all, let alone post pictures. So, instead, I've chosen to post this reel of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood photos because it shows, in part, my evolving journey with pregnancy.
1. Any time I think about pregnancy.

2. My trepidation despite being glad my husband and I are going to have a baby.

3. I am Ed, slowly calming as the pregnancy progresses. My husband is Al, always quietly happy and marveling.

4. Me becoming more like Al when I think about our baby specifically. (I don't think I'll every feel this way about pregnancy.)

I remember when I first saw this episode of FMAB. I was astonished by Ed and Al's responses to the baby, but I also really admired it. Edward pumps his arms and says, "Awesome! It's a real live baby! Awesome! Awesome awesome awesome!!" (Miracle at Rush Valley episode 11, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood). It has been announced: we're having a baby, and it's pretty awesome.
Take care and be kind.
